Steal this house

It's official: our house is on the market. We've spent the last six weeks or so getting it ready, and we're totally bummed by how great the place looks now. But time marches on, and we can't stay in Richmond, so this honey of a Church Hill home is available for an extremely reasonable price. It's got central air, four bedrooms, a freaking awesome (and gigantic) yard and some nice vibes. Please contact our Realtor, Joe Fawley (scroll down to 820 Chimborazo), for info. Here are some photos.

Putting the "Sin" in Spin

Recently Spin changed hands, and many of the writers and editors were fired or quit. Even though I have a new job, too, I'm kind of sentimental about the magazine where I got my start, so I'm glad to know that the new iteration of Spin is in good hands. I'd hate to see it become, you know, tawdry.

The first post in six weeks...

...and he uses it to quote his wife?

Laugh it up, pal, but in between working 50 hour weeks, commuting another 10 hours, and spending the weekends getting our old house ready to sell, I take bloggable moments when I can get them.

Scene: In the car, driving to Richmond. Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over" comes on the radio. Cue the missus:

"Crowded House were really the Hootie of Australia, weren't they?"
