No such thing as bad publicist
Things I refuse to believe about any band, mostly picked up from the Rolling Stone fall music preview issue:
Feel free to add to the list below.
- That any member is "classically trained"
- That they "nearly broke up" while recording their latest album
- That the house they recorded in was haunted
- That the sound of their new album is "more organic"
Feel free to add to the list below.

That any band was "determined to take their time with the next disc."
Never believe that a band broke up over creative differences.
Or that a rock start interrupted the tour due to exhaustion.
Or that a hard rocker put out a blues or country album to rediscover their roots. They just got too fat for spandex.
- That the new record is "career-defining."
- That the new record somehow combines the best things about all their other records ("the goofy fun of the blue album, the emotional lyrics of pinkerton, the pop harmonies of the green album..." etc)
- That the addition of a new drummer or new bass player has somehow redefined their sound.
I honestly feel this is the best work we've ever done.
For metal bands: that the new album is the hardest/heaviest thing they've ever done
