Putting the "Sin" in Spin
Recently Spin changed hands, and many of the writers and editors were fired or quit. Even though I have a new job, too, I'm kind of sentimental about the magazine where I got my start, so I'm glad to know that the new iteration of Spin is in good hands. I'd hate to see it become, you know, tawdry.

as you boys must be painfully aware, i'm still trying to catch up with the 90's / so y'all won't be all too surprised that i'm nominating mistah Dave McGurgan of Wilmington, Delaware for czar of whatever music/culture publication cares to have him. the one number of Yakuza magazine i managed to hold onto is, in retrospect, a step ahead of Magnet, two or three in front of OPtion (i.e., it's the one that best confirms my prejudices...).
