I enjoyed your review. Its really hard to get over the fact that they could not just use the original BBC series. Is it any wonder our country's foreign relations are such a mess?
I watched the pilot episode. It was painful.
I'm not sure I'll give it a second chance.
I thought the first episode was hilarious. Then again, I have no frame of reference, having never seen the original (ducking). Just haven't gotten around to renting the show but will at some point.
